Woodland Events is committed to planning and executing extraordinary and fun events in a stress free environment. We create events that bring our clients’ stories to life and will be remembered for a lifetime.

We believe planning your wedding should be a relaxing, fun, and joyful experience. Yet so many engaged couples feel stressed and overwhelmed when they start to notice the many details that go into planning. For most couples, their wedding is the largest event they will ever plan. The staff at Woodland Events have planned dozens of events, ranging from small soirées to wild dance parties with over 3,000 guests. Let us do the heavy lifting in the background while you stay focused on having an amazing day with family, friends, and your new spouse. LGBTQ+ couples are always welcome!

We primarily serve clients in the Minneapolis / St. Paul and Santa Barbara areas. But we love destination weddings, so feel free to contact us no matter where your wedding is!

We take great care to ensure we're working 100% for our clients' interests, so we never take commissions for vendor referrals and are always looking for better ways to serve and engage our community.

Todd Harper


Woodland Events is owned and operated by Todd Harper.

In 2018, Todd moved to Minnesota from the central coast of California. He’s still getting used to the snow, but has fallen in love with the charm, beauty, and vernacular of Minnesota, dontcha know?


As a former stage and production manager for theatre, Todd has dedicated his career to bringing artists’ grand visions and stories to life on the stage. Now his focus is on bringing your story to life on a new stage. Whether you’re looking for something casual, classy, down to earth, elegant, romantic, or eclectic, Todd will work with any style and budget to create your dream wedding.


Todd lives in the Twin Cities suburb of Eagan with his wife, Claire, and their black lab mix, Gordon. At home, they like to build LEGO sets (they’re not just for kids these days!), make lattes, and watch the wildlife in their backyard. When they’re out and about, they go to plays, escape rooms, and try out local craft beers.


Todd has an MFA in Creative Producing and Management from CalArts.
